What a great product. It has single handedly uncluttered my sofa of remote controls.

It recognised my TV, video, freeview box and DVD player without any problems. Although not all of the functions were recognised , it was easy to transfer them from the orininal remotes.

It should be noted that it goes through batteries like nothing else. The answer - buy 2 sets of rechargeables and switch them as and when you need to.

The KAMELEON-4, like it's big brother the KAMELEON-6 is a terrific piece of kit. It recognises almost every type of equipment without having to program it. I say almost, because it failed to recognise a cheap DVD player I have, but I like it so much I won't mark it down for that. If you need to program in any additional functions, the process is straight forward and easy to understand it (even my girlfriend can do it!)

Whilst it is true to say that it can get through batteries at an alarming rate, I have gotten round this by investing in 2 sets of rechargeables, which seem to last even longer than Duracells anyway. I use this in my bedroom and a Kameleon 6 in my lounge and would recommend them both.

This is a nice idea, this remote looks classy and is easy (once you've configured it!) to use, espicially in the dark. However, it used batteries at an astonishing rate. I installed fresh Duracells in it when I got it and by a month they were exhausted. Go for one of the non-luminesant universal remotes instead
