The item was purchased for a Conservatory television. It had to be small, non-intrusive and of course to work. It can be wall attached but I did not want to damage the new Decor and plaster. So I used the stand supplied which is a little precarious when adjusting for position. The coaxial cable was not quite long enought to reach my television from the shelf on which the aerial stood. I used an old bit of coax 3m length and fitted it with the appropriate connectors. This did not work or worked badly. I cursed the aerial, but on rethink I purchased a low loss coax and tried again and it worked fine. I am within 10 miles of the local transmitter, but the direction is blocked by houses including my own. However it works excellently, and I do not have to move it about for different freeview channels. I cannot say what it would be like at a greater distance. It would be a matter for the sensitivity of the TV receiver and topology and distance of the location. Expensive, yes but you get what you pay for and I thought it was worth it.
