complete waste of money, 29 May 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: One For All Universal Remote Control (Electronics)
during my last move, I lost my learnable Philips which I have been using using for years. Since One4All seems to have some kind of monopoly on the UK market, I had to buy one (I already made bad experiences with this brand).
It's advertised to be learnable, but after unpacking and having a look at the manual, I found that it can only store 25 learned commands, so basically, I'm stuck with a hardcoded RC.
Thanks to it's size it's got a haptic like a brick, it's a pain to use it with one hand.
After a few weeks, it started to randomly switch to different modes which made it impossible to use, so it was no real loss when it eventually ceased to work at all.
This was my third One4All and it definitely was my last. Even if there was no other manufacturer, I'd rather be using 10 different controls than to spend money on a worthless piece of junk.
It's not even worth one star.

Purchased the product after using a previous model universal remote control. Was impressed by ease of use and set up procedure to enable to work with my home entertainment components.
Used the internet upgrade procedure for my DVD player and worked great!! Now I have just the one handset to control my 5 items which will be 6 once i purchase my satellite box!
