I recently shelled out for one of these as I was getting very cheesed off with searching for one out of half a dozen different remotes all the time.

Setup was very easy and it works just fine with a real mix of equipment - Phillips TV, Humax PVR, Yamada DVD player, Panasonic video recorder and Sony stereo.

I was particularly pleased that it supported things like changing the image size (regular, 16:9, etc.) so for the first time I can actually get away with only one remote!

Only caveats are:-
1) one of the five devices is the One For All remote lighting control. You can use another device on this button, but you have to remember that the "lightbulb" icon is actually your stereo or whatever
2) it's a shame that you can only program buttons that are visible after selecting the device type in the top half of the screen. To give an example, the Humax PVR (9200T) has an "info" button so you can find out more about the current programme you're either watching or the current selection in the electronic programme guide. Assuming you've already selected "Satellite" and "PVR" then there is no button you can programme for "Info". Instead you have to do something similar to what I've done which is to put it directly on the "Satellite" button selection (there's what appears to be a Teletext type button).

Other than that, it's pretty good. I do wonder though why these companies don't come up with a completely "soft" controller where you can add additional buttons and icons to your hearts (and available screen real estate) content?

I had to replace my Kameleon URC8060 due to old age and ordered this item!
It has a quirky shape which actually fits the hand really well! it came with batteries fitted which is unusual nowadays but welcome, meant that once I got it un packed it was ready to programme.
Setting up all the device was actually a lot easier than on my earlier 8060 and I found codes for all my more modern devices.
The only problem I have had is punch through if I set this up to control the TV volume through the Generic satelite receiver button the volume control for my cinema system volume button doesn't work, this I think is something I have done but being a bloke I refuse to read the manual!
If you are looking for a universal remote buy this product it's reliable easy to use and set up and IF you do have to call for tech support they are helpful polite and even contact you after they have helped to see if it did in fact work, Something other companies could well learn from.

The remote was fairly straight forwared to use and programme. I needed to perform an upgrade so I could use it to control my Sony BDP 3050 Blu-Ray player. This took a few attempts using my laptop speakers to transmit the sounds that upgrade the remote, but once it was done I've had no trouble.

I use the remote to control my Sony Bravia TV, Sky-HD box, Sony Blu-Ray player and Creative Digital 5500 5:1 speakers. All work well and it was easy enough to program macros to just switch everything to the right channels with two button presses.

Overall cheap, easy to use and functional.
