4.0 out of 5 stars Unique book 25 Aug 1999
By A Customer
This is by far and away the best book about teaching one to one - but it is hardly in an overcrowded field. Wilberg comes up with many excellent practical ideas in the second half of the book and I really suggest that you start with these before moving onto the less accessible first part of the book. It's not that there is anything wrong with the first part, only it is a bit jargon heavy and only really becomes clear when you see the illustrating exercises.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don¨t bother... 26 Feb 2009
By G. A. Robert - Published on Amazon.com
I bought it thinking it would offer advice, ideas, etc, or at least some perspective on, as the author points out, "a forgotten area of EFL¨ but sadly couldn't get past the first few chapters for the authors often bizarre ramblings and perspectives on English language teaching and "one to one". Nonsense i just couldn't understand at all where he was coming from. I wouldn't bother with this one... The market is still open to a one to one book
