2.0 out of 5 stars Bo Derek 14 Dec 2010
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is definitely one only for the collector or completists. The storyline is not very taxing and the overall feeling I get from the film is a 'low budget' vehicle to launch an attractive and young aspiring actress to greater things. There's nothing wrong with that, but please bear this in mind if you want to be 'gripped' in entertainment - for this film will fail to deliver on that account. This having been said, one can see the alure that a young Ms Bo had, and was good practise for husband John Derek, so it's not surprising that she shot to fame with later projects and was perfect for the role in "10". It's okay...but that's about all!

2.0 out of 5 stars For Bo Derek completists... 19 Aug 2007
Format:DVD
This was Bo Derek's first movie, filmed some time in the mid-1970s, but released after her success with "10". It's interesting for Bo Derek fans to see a young, dark haired Bo Derek. And she's charming as always. But there's really no other reason to see the movie. There's hardly any plot, so the movie gets dull pretty fast.

"Fantasies" is for Bo Derek completists only.

3.0 out of 5 stars A young beginning. 25 Aug 2011
Format:DVD
I was with some hesitation that I approached Fantasies. Although seeing a young Bo Derek, before she was Bo Derek, always is a treat I was still hestitant that this wouldn't be much more than your typical 70s sleazepoitation picture. But instead it turned out to be a story of a young girl turning into a woman, a tale of emancipation from a society bent on limiting her. A love story like all other love stories. And while the atmosphere is very much 70s in a for today's standard annoying way there is some qualities to this movie if you look beyond that. Maybe not the grandest of movies to have been done but if you like me find Bo Derek worth spending time with then this will be a worthy 90mins.
