This album is a must for all Runrig fans. It contains something for everyone and every mood, from the pure rock of 'Protect and Survive' to the gentle and brilliant 'Going Home', and anyone who was taught 'Loch Lomond' as a child will be blown away by Runrig's interpretation of it.
Then, as if the songs alone are not enough, this has to be one of the best live albums of all time (along with Fairport Convention's 'In Real Time'). Thoroughly recommended.

I have been hooke on Runrig for a few years now, after hearing a friend's copy of this album. The songs are sung with such power and meaning that they uplift me whatever mood I am in.
"Dance Called America" and Runrig's arrangement of "Loch Lomond" are undoubtedly some of my favourite pieces of all time, and as has previously been said, if you want an introduction to this great band, buy this album; you won't regret it.
Look out for the "Searchlight" and "In Search of Angels" albums for more of what makes me tick! I hope it does the same for you.

Never heard Runrig before? - this is the album for you! Hear them the way God intended - live. A stirring album, guaranteed to uplift you and get the blood rushing! A really motivating and dramatic album with live classics Dance Called America, Skye, and their finest version of Loch Lomond.
The haunting and dominating voice of Donnie Munro set against the stirring drums, swirling guitars, as well as the excitement of a Glasgow Barrowlands audience will set your hearting beating.
A definate album for the Runrig beginner and guaranteed to have you coming back for more!

I've been aware of Runrig for many years but never got round to hearing any of their music. I got this album after reading the reviews here on Amazon. I was hooked after just listening for the first time! I love 'live albums' and this is one of the best, if not the best I've heard. I've since acquired several more albums and at the moment only listening to Runrig. I just regret not getting to hear them until now.

Saw Runrig live for the first time at Hammersmith (London)around 1988-1990 after my then wife had seen them i think in Bournemouth as backup believe it or not for Chris de Burg (love c-de burg live in dublin cd). When we saw they were on in London she persuaded me to go with her and was i glad she did,it was a sensational knockout performance.I can still visualize and hear the Loch Lomand finale-fantastic.Of course Donny was the singer then.Bought the cassette immediately and made anyone who would listen to it,most then bought their own.As they say class is timeless!!!!

At the time of Runrig's mammoth tour including a spectacular concert at Loch Lomond, I must have been the only person in Scotland not to have been to any of them. Having since seen them in at later concerts and seen footage of them at Loch Lomond, this album manages to capture the incredible atmosphere generated between them and the audience. Put the headphones on, sit back, close your eyes and you're there......

This album in my opinion is 2nd only to AC/DC "If you want Blood" as a live recording.

This is the album that got me hooked and have now been an avid fan for over 20 years. This album captures them at their best, if you haven't yet seen them live , do so,you will not be disappointed.

Alternatively buy this album now - and enjoy.
