I read this play as a recommendation from my theatre teacher on seeing how Catholics speak, as I was writing a monologue as one. It may not have been useful in that respect, but I'm glad I read it because it's one of the best plays I've read. Definietly very funny at times. My friends sat around as I read bits to them, and they all begged to borrow it afterwards. I don't know how truthful it is of the society it aims to portray, but I'm guessing it's from the author's life. For me it was a look at a culture different very to my own, and a look at these girls' fairly normal teenage lives (similar to mine to an extent) in what they probably think is quite an anal society. I really enjoyed this play, it was very entertaining, and I wonder what it would be like on stage. I'd love to see it, and I'd love even more to be in it! You'll love reading it, for sure.
