The Onaroo OK To Wake! Nightlight and Sleep Trainer Clock teaches kids to sleep in so you can too. For parents, every extra minute of sleep is a luxury. OK to Wake! features a dual-colour nightlight that turns green when it is ‘OK to wake!’ The nightlight is programmable by the parent; you define what time the ‘Green means GO!’ light turns on in the morning. In the evening, the product is a comforting nightlight (soft yellow glow) that can be turned on at the tap of a ‘toe’ for a programmable duration (up to two hours). To conserve battery life, lights turn off automatically after a customizable amount of time (up to two hours).
For older children that want to wake up on their own, OK To Wake! is a fully-functional alarm clock with a 10-minute snooze feature, just like mum and dad's. A pleasant gradual-wake (ascending volume) tone gently rouses your child. When sounding, the left toe button snoozes for ten minutes and the right toe button silences the bell. Fun animations make OK To Wake! come to life with smiles and winks whenever the alarm is sounding. The clock also includes a special built-in nap timer. Press a button to nap for up to 24 hours (fully customizable) without the other clock settings. The nap timer can conclude with the OK To Wake! light, the gradual-wake tone, or both. Wake-up volume and brightness are both fully adjustable (low, medium, high).
The kid-friendly shape features ‘toe’ buttons that kids will find fun to press, while parents appreciate the function and form. Concealed parental control panel provides access to clock options and instructions. Interchangeable LCD face plates (pink flower & green bug both included) provide options for boys and girls. The product is fully battery operated on two AA-type batteries (not included). This runs for approximately 3 months under normal operating conditions. The product has been tested for lead paint content according to the requirements of the CPSIA. It is also CE certified.

I bought this as my 7yr old and 2 5yr olds like to wake and ask if it's time for them to get up. The first night i explained that when the light was green they could get up and when it wasn't they needed to go back to bed. It's worked instantly i'm no longer woken very early, i do suggest reading the instructions as the green light is only set to stay on for 30 mins before switching itself off and we needed a little longer but it's very easy to do as are the rest of the controls. I love that it's battery operated and that you can leave it once you've set it up and never touch it again, i highly recomend this it's brilliant.

We expected great things from this clock but were hugely disappointed with it. For what it costs, and let's face it - it's not cheap, it had a distinctly naf and cheap feel to it. Poor build quality and you can tell it was made in China (no offence). We were also amazed to find that it didn't run off the mains. No plug in sight! Required 4 AA batteries which seems madness. And lastly, the green light is more of a glow than a light. We had high hopes but sent it back and got the Gro Clock instead.

I chose this clock over several others available mainly because it displays the time aswell as showing the light to give the cue to get up; I wanted our 3 year-old to have an actual clock, with numbers to see, rather than just a light and picture e.g. the Gro-clock or KidSleep clock. It does everything it claims to do and he understood straight away to wait for the green light. The drawbacks that I have found are minor but annoying! Mainly, the battery compartment is closed with a TINY screw which must be opened with a screwdriver, and the screw was done up so tightly when it arrived the thread was damaged and turning it with the screwdriver then damaged the top of the screw too, so now, brand new, it cannot be done up again. Second, the changeable face plates fit onto the front of the clock with a nice easy latch, but the plate that was already on the clock was also stuck on with sticky tape, which when removed left a sticky smear across the front of the clock. I have picked the smear off but it was an annoyance! I'd buy it again but wish they had given these details more attention!

Disappointed
This is not so easy to use and not particularly appealing to our 2 and 3 year olds. I find they need something that moves, rather than digital read outs or lights.
