Being the manager and owner of the newest and busiest club in town Brett is finding it more difficult to spend time with his vampire lover, Lisa. Following her advice he decides to interview for more bar staff. After a very uneventful day of interviews Brett retires to his apartment above the club to spend time with Lisa. However, she has different plans and goes back downstairs to hunt. Unable to resist watching her in action Brett follows Lisa to the dance floor to admire her work. What he didn't expect to find was his lover in an intimate neck-sucking embrace with another man.

Leo goes to the club interested in the barman position, but what he finds there is far more to his liking. After 15yrs of being alone he discovers his ex-lover in the exact club he was meant to interview for a job, and they instantly fall back into their old ways. When Lisa introduces him to her lover, Brett, it's obvious that the man is jealous of the attention she is giving Leo. But so is his underlying excitement and arousal at the possibilities their situation could present.

Encouraged by Brett and Leo's reactions to each other Lisa slowly introduces Brett to the pleasures of being with another man, while showing Leo exactly what he can have if he sticks around. Her determination to have both men in her life, and her body, is totally alluring. She's a woman who knows what she wants, and isn't afraid to take it. A trait that neither Brett or Leo can resist.

This was a short read, but a bloody steamy one, and I LOVED IT!!! As I've said before it's the first book I read in which there is a same-sex relationship, never mind a threesome, and Kallysten writes it perfectly. It's a small slice of erotic heaven. I think I lead a deprived life before being introduced to the wonderful world of Kallysten, and she is totally to blame for my perverted mind... No, that's a lie. I've always been perverted, she just opened my horizons a little more lol. Anywho, this book rocks, in fact the whole series rocks, so I encourage you all to grab a copy and find out for yourselves.

On the Edge 16 May 2008

Brett Andrews has been living with and loving Lisa for almost a year. He adores watching her stalk prey in which to feed when she goes to their club downstairs. Tonight is no different, except Lisa brings her prey home and Brett finds out he is a vampire as well.

Lisa adores Brett, more so than any other man in a very long time. When she sees Leo at the club, she can't help but bring him upstairs. Lisa has a plan. She knows Brett's secret desires and has one of her own.

On the Edge kept me on the edge that is for sure. Delightfully erotic, I found Brett's attraction to Leo just downright arousing. Lisa knew what she wanted and was not afraid to reach for her dreams. Ménages are one of my favorite types of books to read and On the Edge was just the perfect read for me. Full of sensuality, it left me satisfied.

I can't get enough 29 Mar 2011

After reading the Out of the Box series I just HAD to learn what the story was with Brett, Leo and Lisa. They're appearance in those stories had piqued my interest.

The club On The Edge was only 3 months old but it had been an instant success with the people of Haventown. Both human and vampire alike. It's success was so great that it's owner Brett had to hire more help. After a hard day of interviews he was ready for a quiet night at home. Instead he found himself in whole different, but much more pleasing situation.

Though short I loved reading this. Number one, the whole idea of vampires and humans mingling and having fun on the dance floor and in the dark alcoves makes me shiver. It makes me want to put on my dancing shoes and a slinky dress! The second thing that made this a hit for me was how easy it was for me to slip into the story. Kallysten has a way of making a reader feel as if they're part of the story, not an outsider looking in.

Kallysten's writing is smooth and extremely hot. She never fails to give her readers a fantastic tale that leaves them panting for more!
