What can I say? I read this book while travelling through Europe, and at some of my loneliest times, reading this book made me feel like getting up and continue travelling.
Jack Kerouac's adventures are engaging and crazy. It made me want to see what life was like back then and how they survived the way they did.
Even though I like this book... If I had read it while at home, I think it would have made me very jealous and made me want to get up and travel again.

Kerouac's writing in On the Road is an exceptional example of poetry in the novel. There are times in the story where I reread passage just for the sublime nature of the words.
The story itself is well documented so I wont go over old ground but I will say that this is a text tht helped to create and define the beat generation. Well worth reading for the sheer audacity of the language

On The Road is everything you would expect! A true classic. It changed my life just like it has changed those before me. Also, a good starter Kerouac book to lead into heavier reads such as Dr.Sax

This book made me want to pack it all in and travel....
