The verse in this collection is poor. One wonders why such a distinguished poetry publishing house as Faber and Faber bothers to publish it. He had a top notch career as a lawyer; perhaps he should have kept it. I can't see him making his fortune with verse like this. I haven't read the prose of his two novels - I will try.
