I read this novella with some trepidation. It seems to me that a lot of so-called gay fiction is unrealistic - far too pink and fluffy. In this coming out story, Tristram La Roche has hit the mark spot on. The characters are realistic and I found myself rooting for Mark, the main character, from the beginning. The balance of gritty, animal lust is balanced with the right amount of love and emotion to make this a winner. And it helps that the author writes as well as any mainstream big name. I'm looking forward to his next offering and hoping it will be soon.
