The MIT Elite Plus is a fully automatic blood pressure monitor. The stylish and compact design of the MIT Elite Plus offers comfortable, quick and accurate blood pressure monitoring. The MIT Elite Plus features benefits such as irregular heart detection; to enable users to identify any irregularity and a body movement indicator which lets the user know if any movement was detected that could cause the reading to be inaccurate. In addition to this the MIT Elite Plus also features an averaging mode meaning that 3 measurements can be taken automatically in 10 mins and an average is calculated to offer a more comprehensive reading. Another feature is the Bi Link application that allows readings to be downloaded onto a PC so they can be reviewed and saved.

This is a super piece of Kit, well made, and it's readings are close enough to those taken with a mercury sphygmomanometer at the doctors surgery to be reliable. I bought it so it could download the readings to my PC, which works fine (unfortunately NOT mac compatible) It also records your pulse. The software is easy to use, and the display is fine, but if you're a bit of a spreadsheet nut, you can download the data, and make your own graphs etc! I did have a problem with loading the software (looking for a wrong Drive), but solved it easily enough with Windoze help!
The machine is easily portable and discrete - so can be taken anywhere. I had to buy the large cuff to suit my arm, and the standard cuff that came with it comes in handy if others want a reading taking!
I'm trying hard to improve my BP etc, and I've also got the OMRON Walking Style Pro Pedometer, which links with the same software (though can only be bought via a company called "fitbug" - an online subscription "weightwatchers"! If you want to keep track of your BP, and are happy with using your PC, then go for it. I think there is another OMRON BP monitor that can be used with this kit, so choose the right one for you!
Would have 5*'s except for the software bug!

Just add batteries and it works, just make sure you set the the date/time correctly before using it as the software can not edit the data once it is uploaded to your computer, otherwise it all works just fine.

At this price its a notably expensive option for monitoring BP [Blood Pressure Association do a clinically validated one for half the price], however I like the convenience of being able to just plug it into my laptop and downloading my readings [i'm pretty disorganised so I like to keep things simple!!]. A great little device and would recommend. Incidentally it says XP or Vista software needed but works fine with Windows 7 on my laptop.
