The Omron M6 Comfort fully automatic upper arm blood pressure monitor offers everything necessary for comfortable, quick and accurate blood pressure monitoring. Intellisense technology ensures that the right inflation pressure is automatically detected. The device does not inflate too high and avoids painful measurements. It detects irregular pulses and decides if the measurement is usable or if the measurement needs to be repeated. Only accurate results are displayed.
The hypertension indicator that displays a symbol on screen if the unit takes a reading that is higher than the recommended level of 135/85 mmHg. The monitor comes with a cuff wrapping indicator which informs the user if the cuff has been wrapped correctly to ensure accurate readings. The pre-wrapped cuff is easier to apply to the arm and much more comfortable to use. The dual check feature performs a second "check" to self calibrate the unit, further improving accuracy.

According to the BMA Medical Supplies Direct website, accessed 28/11/11, "The Omron M6 Comfort is a special comfort cuff version of the Omron M6. This unique pre-formed cuff is extremely easy to use and is more comfortable and easier to use than the regular soft cuff. It has a larger arm range of 22-42cm and is currently the top of the range home BP monitor with BHS validation". I've just received mine and found it very easy to set up and use. Will update this review in the future when I have had a chance to properly test it out but so far I have to say it looks excellent. Unlike the M10-IT, there is no facility to store readings for more than one person in the memory (although you can take readings without storing them so I guess you could use this for "guests" if you wanted to keep a "pure" record. Also no option to save to a computer but there is an included chart to manually record readings if desired. Personally, I think gimmick free and accurate is better anyway and I value the BHS validation highly. I also like the fact that it tells me if the cuff is on properly or if I have rendered the reading inaccurate by moving or talking for example.

Needed to keep a daily check on my blood presure. So put a bit of research in on machines available and came up with this one. I must say that I am very pleased with it. Very easy to use. Big display, so easy to see the results. Compact and comes with it's own case. Highly recommend.

I had been using an earlier model OMRON BP monitor (the MX2 Basic) which worked well until recently, when it consistently had 2 inflates per reading, something I found a nuisance. I looked through the newer models and settled on the M6 Comfort. I have had it for a week now and am really pleased with it. I have used it every morning and evening and find the readings consistent - I take 3 readings over 10 mins and use the average, which the machine calculates.
What I really like is how quiet the inflation is compared to the previous one I had. I feel this contributes to staying relaxed and therefore getting a more stable reading.
The cuff is incredibly easy to use. The bulk of it has a rigid feel to it which I think helps to ensure it is wrapped tightly enough around the upper arm. It is easy to complete the wrap around without any fiddling around!
So far I am very pleased with this product.
