added to my collection of watches as i wanted a co axial movement watch- i so much admire
George Daniels and Omega for their courage in making this wonderful movement- the 2500C( ie earlier problems ironed out since its intro in 1999) This mid size watch will not disappoint accurate to within 2 seconds a day which is phenomenal and it has all the old seamaster charateristics which are so well loved. Its much nicer to wear and look at than my new Rolex Submariner and in this instance Omega have Rolex well beaten- and that movement what an advance and delight- 3 years gtee says Omega stand behind this product and with s 7-10 year service interval I am sure it will outlast my 13 year old grandson and perhaps his as well.

A truly great watch in my humble opinion

Graham Whittaker

So far so GREAT!! 12 May 2011

I eagerly awaited this watch to be delivered to Australia (28 hours to Australia then 6 days in Melbourne;( I can only comment on the first few weeks of the watch. So far I LOVE it. It is heavy enough to feel like quality goods but not too heavy to distract me. I will admit the previous comments on the latch being a scratch magnet are true. It has a bit of a scuffed look about it after just a few days, but I was doing a bit of work on my computer during the same time. As I have a rather type A personality, I have been keeping a close look on the watch's time and it is only ~1 second (-) a day so far. As they (who are they??)say, it takes a few weeks to get the 2500 movement to get run in, (more accurate) but hopefully in this case, thats not true. As I said previously I am impressed so far with the: build, accuracy and the overall looks of the watch so far. I will keep you informed!!!!!!!!

ps
I have a rather narrow wrist and I think this is a more classic look than the wall clock size of the other options.

Excellent watch, excellent value 16 Dec. 2014

I purchased this watch last week, and I couldn't be happier! This is a great "daily beater" watch that will last for decades to come. Some may scoff at the high price of mechanical Swiss watches. Sure they don't keep time as accurately as phones or cheap quartz watches and you have to wind them if you don't wear them all time, but their high level of craftsmanship make looking down at your wrist an actual experience. That said, the price of this watch is pretty down to earth in the grand scheme of things i.e. Patek Philippes with complicated movements. I own an Oris and a Tag Heuer that I spent around $1500 on each. They're definitely nice watches, but I believe Omegas are a tier or two above them. I suppose they should be because they are pricier and often compete with Rolex. Subtle things like the pins holding the band links together are much beefier on the Omega than my other watches, and the Omega beats at 7 beats per second instead of 8 beats like the Oris and Tag, so there should be less wear and tear on the movement through the years. This watch is a model from a few years back, so it doesn't look as sleek as what you'd find in the store, but the automatic movement is exactly the same as new Seamaster Divers (ETA modified with co-axial escapement). I've got a small wrist, so the 36mm dial suits me well. I really like how low-key this watch is. It may look like many less expensive alternatives (Invicta and the likes), but it's what's on the inside that counts.
