3.0 out of 5 stars And the big secret is...... 8 Feb 2007
Format:Paperback
Books based largely on the idea that the catholic church is involved in supressing information seem to be very popular at the moment and this is another addition to the post Da Vinci Code publications. Unlike others, it does not appear to have been written in too much haste and time has been taken to give us some characters we can engage with. Unfortunately the key 'baddie' is something of a cartoon and his motivations in wishing to keep the Omega Scroll secret are never really clarified.

The big secret? As far as I could tell it was simply that the world would be a better place if people were nicer to each other!

4.0 out of 5 stars Engaging 25 Aug 2007
Format:Paperback
Intelligent, fast paced, well written, and above the level of most books written in this vein. An ideal book to pack for a holiday. As an aside the author is a genuine authority on anti-terrorism, and was involved in preparations for the 2000 Olympics.

5.0 out of 5 stars Da Vinci Code Move Over 20 Nov 2007
By Margaret K - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
If you're an ardent Catholic, you won't like this book. Like Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code, it deals with the dark side of the Church, and is probably more provocative. It is one of those books that grabs the reader's attention right from the start and I found myself absorbed by the interesting characters and the level of historical and scientific detail. Unpretentious in writing style, it is also not without a sense of humour.

Number 2 at the Vatican, Cardinal Secretary of State Lorenzo Petroni has his eye on the top job, given the Pope's failing health. Three things threaten to destroy him - Cardinal Giovanni Donelli has started an investigation into the Vatican Bank ; journalist Tom Schweiker is looking into Petroni's past, and even more dangerously, one of the world's foremost authorities on archaelogical DNA, Dr Allegra Bassetti, a former nun and long ago victim of Petroni, is piecing together fragments of the Omega Scroll, one of the Dead Sea Scrolls, in Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, at CIA HQ in Langley, Mike McKinnon is investigating the possibility that one or more missing nuclear suitcase bombs from the former Soviet Union may have fallen into the hands of Al Quaeda. This could mean a fulfillment of a warning set out in the Omega Scroll more than 2000 years ago.
The Sunday Times called this book "a classy action thriller". I would definitely agree.

4.0 out of 5 stars First Book 15 Sep 2008
By Chris Cameron - Published on Amazon.com
This is the first attempt at writing for d'Hage and it becomes evident in the way the script is handled (very Australian) but the amazing part is the depth of information that the book contains. He has conducted an enormous amount of research on his subjects and I have no doubt that as his writing style matures he will certainly be in the bestseller category.
