In this fifth installment of this funny, sexy manga, we find Himari stuck in a child's body due to a spell cast by Kuesu. While Himari is feeling unworthy of being Yuuto's bodyguard, Agenha, succubus who enjoys sex while sucking the blood out of her victims, kidnaps Yuuto in order to have some "fun" with him. However, she does not what to kill Yuuto because, as with any harem manga, she has developed feelings of attachment for him. Everything works out in the end as Himari comes to Yuuto's rescue with the help of Shizuku, and regains her more mature figure. Other story lines focus on a swimsuit context with Himari, Shizuku and Lizlet as contestants and Lizlet fantasizing about Yuuto being her master. As with previous volumes, this one is full of sexual innuendos and comments, almost all of which are directed at Yuuto. To give you a sense of this, at the end of her fantasy about being Yuuto slave, Lizlet hopes that Yuuto's light ferry (his demon slaying power) does not get so strong that it chips her delicate cup, which is her real body. The volume ends by introducing two new powerful demons: Tamamo-no-Mae (Tama) and Shuten-Douji. Both of these ayakashi are trying to increase their power, as they were defeated years ago by demon slayers. Tama does this by eating other ayakashi. She is particularly interested in Himari. A big plus of this volume is a series short of biographies of all 12 demon slayer families. They really helped me put all of the different families in relation to each other and helped me to understand why Yuuto's grandparents betrothed him and Kuesu to each other.
Finally, if you are thinking about buying this volume, you should know that only the first two-thirds continue Omamori Himari. The final third of the book consists of Milan Matra's first popular magazine manga, Commence Operation. This story is really for Matra fans and is several steps below Omamori Himari. The artwork is similar, but the plot and dialog are, in my opinion, quite inferior. I am still happy with my purchase of this volume and recommend it without reservations.
