A pair of compact supersonic motors deliver the high driving force required for extremely high focusing speeds, while a highly precise encoder developed with micro-machine technology detects the lens position with micron-level accuracy to precisely determine the lens stop position. Zuiko Digital lenses: part of the E-system family The Four Thirds system utilises advanced lens coating technology to achieve optimum colour balance and to reduce the typical bugbears of ghosting and flare.
