I wanted an easy to use digital camera but one with a bit of 'oomph'. This camera does not disapoint. The quality of pictures are excellent. A close up of a bee showed clearly all the pollen stuck to the legs - awesome! I am now a complete bore and am always showing off my pictures. I am very lazy about reading instruction manuals and I managed to operate the camera very quickly, after a quick glance. One excellent feature is how the camera saves the pictures in a calendar. If you are looking for a reasonable priced camera, then this is definately it.

Hubby has a Nikon D70, I have 2 Fuji's in the SLR style/size, and although we're thrilled with the camera's we have I wanted something that I could slip in my pocket or handbag to just catch the odd shots that come up once in a while.We looked around at several options, but being limited to XD (we didn't want to get into yet another new type of card) some of our choices were limited. This camera offered the best value for money. Over 7MP compensates for the shorter digital zoom, and once I got it home I wasn't disappointed. I would recommend this as a first time camera for anyone. With all the additional settings and the foolproof guide IN the camera it's SO easy to work round, and offers so much that you usually see in a much larger camera. Don't let it's small size fool you! I totally recommend it for any digital photographer - new or seasoned.

after finally replacing my old fujifilm ive had for years and getting this new olympus it wsa definetely worth it. The pictures are top quality with optional night mode, beach mode etc. Camera is easy to understand n the pics are top class. Although quite expensive, for a 7.1 mp camera its great value n looks absolutely stunning. A must have if your looking for a better camera. software is also very easy to use!"
