Book Description

3 Aug 1995 Oliver
Do you like chips? Oliver does, in fact, he won't eat anything else - until he plays a game with his grandpa.
Whatever vegetable Oliver finds in the garden, he must eat. On Monday, he pulls up carrots, on Tuesday, it is spinach . . .

This is an excellent book for parents with slightly fussy children and it introduces the days of the week.

Oliver's Fruit Salad
Oliver's Milkshake

A little boy who only wants to eat chips is sent into the garden and told he can eat anything he finds! Interesting to see what he tries on his quest to find chips!

I bought this book to read to my reception class. We were following a them on vegetables and this was great to think about where vegetables come from. I would recommend this to other reception teachers who are following a vegetable theme.

a superb book for 3-6 year olds. Its great to get the kids eating vegetables, you can try them each day for tea and learn where they come from. Most kids these days don't know where chips come from except McDonalds or from the freezer.
