Product Description

Product Description

Oliver is fed up when he finds out he's going to be spending Christmas with his bullying cousins, Thug and Thugette, and things just go from bad to worse when they play a nasty trick on him. But with a little inspiration from a magical Christmas cracker, he comes up with a plan to save the day.

From the Back Cover

Oliver Moon loves Christmas - sledging with his best friend, Jake , and eating loads of yummy minced eyes. But this year his family is going to stay with his horrible cousins at Toadstool Towers, and Oliver's not looking forward to it at all. Will a magical Christmas cracker save the day?

It's a cracker! 12 Sep 2007
By AlisonB
Format:Paperback
My kids love the Oliver Moon stories so we were pleased to see this new one. It's Christmas time in Cacklewick and Oliver's looking forward to celebrating - until he hears that his family have been invited to horrible Aunt Wart's house over the holidays. When Oliver's cousins Thug and Thugette play a mean trick on Oliver, it almost ruins Christmas Day. But luckily, Oliver's got a plan to get them back!
A funny story, with great black and white illustrations on most page.

My 7-year-old daughter, Lara, and I love the Oliver Moon books. All of them. They're great fun, well illustrated and just right for children who are starting to become independent readers. I started off reading a chapter a night, but my daughter wanted more and more. Eventually, she grabbed them off the shelf and read them for herself. No, this is not Harry Potter: Oliver Moon is for younger readers and there is no hint of darkness in these stories. When Lara went to see Father Christmas she told him the only thing she really wanted was an Oliver Moon book.
