I would not recommend this book and I really do not want to read any of the others in the series. I mean she loses her children in the first chapter she's sad about it for about 2 minutes, she then thinks she's all that because she knows one word of french, then she proceeds to tell bad historical tales about a great, great, great uncle. Not to mention Boris her husband - what's up with him where does he live, who let him in to visit? Just when I got even slightly interested in a chapter it was over and moved onto another chapter and situation. It seemed everything was so random . Her plans and schemes never quite work out, and they seemed to be pointless anyway. None of the characters really stand out, they just seem to be there to listen to Olga. I like small furry creatures and I now do want a Guinea pig, but "Olga Carries On" was not a very interesting or well developed story. No wonder it is out of print!
