This is an absolutely classic streetpunk album. Stand-out tracks are Sweeney Todd and Oi Mate. Don't miss the hidden track at the end of song number ten. If only they'd tour! Recommended to anyone who loved Oi, Rancid or Madness

The fourth and best of the Gonads albums. Old Boots, No Panties is an obvious play on Ian Dury's New Boots & Panties and the band's merry mix of Cockney humour and wicked wordplay recalls the "grand old raspberry" even if the music is much harder and punkier. The stand-out track here is "Oi Mate", which is a brilliant ska singalong number that should be a summer smash. It sounds like a coarser modern version of Madness. Lovely job. Listen out for the "secret" last track, "England My Land" which is tucked away after the raucous and almost Beatles-esque anthem "Infected"

The girl on the cover is Cindy Jackson.
The voice on the songs is GARRY BUSHELL and together they make this the best cover and best vinyl collection of all-time.
Guest appearances by BOWIE, Weller, Elvis and Al Jolson are much appreciated but it is GARY GONAD BUSHELL who makes this album special.
