The author seems knowledgeable but this book contains more spelling, punctuation and grammar mistakes than any commercial publication I have ever read. This, for me, is totally unacceptable when you consider it is only approximately 77 pages long. Additionally, some of the pictures lack enough quality to actually read the text.

Not too lengthy, descriptive, chapters and subchapters in logical flowing order. For a Mechanical Engineering Graduate about to start a Petroleum Engineering Masters, this has been very helpful to get a brief head start at familiarising myself with concepts and buzz words related to the production of oil and gas from the reservoir to out put. Recommend for any undergraduate or recent Engineering graduate interested in the upstream oil and gas industry. Only bad thing are the grammatical errors and poor editing, but I highly doubt you'll be reading this if you're an English Language student...

Basic tutorial on Oil and Gas 5 Jan. 2013
By Håvard Devold - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Always happy to see people find use for the Handbook. However this is not the official ABB print edition, which you can get for free at many of the Oil and Gas trade shows that we attend. It is copyrighted, but you can download the latest edition [...] and may also be able to ask for your free original print copy from many countries through that page.

All went well, thanks. The book seems to cover what I was seeking, all be it, not as detailed as I would've wanted, but still plenty good, making it good & plenty, I didn't expect detail, still, maybe I SHOULD GO PRO!

This 'book' is nothing more than a hardcopy reprint of Wikipedia entries. I'm not kidding. To add insult to injury, its not even properly edited. What a joke!
Good intro to understanding oil/gas production 31 Aug. 2013

I'm a recent grad in mechanical engineering. I wanted to familiarize myself with oil production, and the components used. This book goes over many of the components that are used by oil and gas drilling onshore, and off.
