Pete Doherty is a class act, & surely one of this countries finest rock & roll performers. I only started listening to Pete last month after he got arrested for drink driving, & drug possession in my county, & as I am begining to understand after reading one of his biographty; "Last of the Rock Romantic's", his personnel journals;"The Book of Albion", watching hundreds of youtube clips & buying all his albums to date, this is a pretty normal day in the life of Pete Doherty. Pete has a great talent for song writing, & putting the rock & rolling back into music. To judge him on his drug addiction is missing the point of Pete & what makes him who he is to his fans, but to judge him after listening to/ watching "Oh What a Lovely Tour" you can't go to wrong. This is a great package that captures the babyshambles on the reoad following up possibly their best studio ablum to date "Shotters Nation". This performce showcases most of their finest live tracks & crowd pleasers F**kForever, Killamngiro, Albion, You Talk & Beg, Steal & Borrow. I'm glad to see no liberteens tracks played, cause I believe the work being produced by the Shambles is of a far greater quality to that of the Liberteens & this recording goes someway to proving that by not having to playing any Liberteens stuff to support their own material. It's a must have, which does not disappoint, I was not a fan before buying this CD/DVD, but now after I am the proud owner of tickets to see Pete play to promote his solo work in Manchester & see the babyshambles play in Bath. This CD has gone a long way to building the hype before I get to see them live. Cracking performce, super value & a CD I will be playing for a long time to come.
