Product Description

Product Description

Describing herself as a bright, blonde bimbo, Chantelle shot to fame in "Celebrity Big Brother" earlier this year. A Paris Hilton look alike, she loves shopping, lip-gloss and all things pink but that's as close to the celebrity lifestyle she had got until the Channel four show changed her life. Successfully fooling the real celebrity contestants in the BB house that she was a pop star, Essex born Chantelle, is now living the dream. With her own TV show, she is now gracing the covers of glossy magazines and is set to marry BB co-star and Ordinary Boy front man Preston later this year.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not so stupid anymore, 25 May 2006
I, like hundreds of others, watched Chantelle rise to fame on Celebrity Big Brother.

The 'Celebrity' prefix confused me more than a little since she was the only one I recognised (from all the pictures of her and her Dad, Preston, in TV Quick Magazine).

What the show lacked in celebrity, Chantelle made up for in bubbliness and sassiness - words that I don't tend to use lightly.

Don't be fooled: Chantelle isn't stupid. If she was stupid it would have taken her a lot longer to write this book. She is perhaps a little stupid for using a pseudonym to write her own autobiography but maybe that's just dyslexia or something, so give her a break, alright?

In summary, if you like Chantelle (or think that you like her but aren't certain) then I would suggest you read this book.

If you do not like her, then avoid this book like the plague: It is crammed full of information about Chantelle (who you don't like). You would do much better to read a different autobiography.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this book! , 21 Sep 2006
My dad bought me this in Asda - it was in the bargain bin - and I couldnt put it down! She really is living the dream. When I grow up I want to be just like Chantelle. My mum read the book after me and she wants to be Chantelle now too...

1.0 out of 5 stars I am perplexed!, 9 Aug 2006
By Grr "Gumbo" (England) - See all my reviews

Why does this book exist? I'm sure Chantelle is a very nice lady and all that but an autobigraphy?!?

She lived a normal life - not unlike millions of other people - then had a fifteen minutes of fame by being the least irritating person on a TV programme. Got married to a minor, minor celebrity, got divorced and had a boob job. What more is there to know?

Surely the first three quarters of this book will amount to nothing more exciting than what you may glean from chatting to a stranger in the pub?

I don't get why this book is in existence? Kudos to her for taking up the offer from the publisher - smart girl.
