This is a very sweet story about mummy duck and her four ducklings. She is taking them for a trip to the pond, but while 3 little ducklings follow her nicely, Dylan keeps disappearing. Mummy duck can't be too cross though, as it is always for nice reasons, such as collecting his mummy some flowers or a pretty feather. The book has a gentle refrain, "Oh, Dylan! Where's Dylan?" which children will enjoy joining in with and, at times, the ducklings sing a little song to the tune of "five little ducks", which my daughter liked. This is a lovely and reassuring story for young children and would be an absolutely perfect bedtime story for 2-4 year olds. The illustrations are great and the glittery pages were also a winner with my little girl. Highly recommended.
