DVD Description

No donkey. No fairy tale. Just terror.--Threatened by a fatal epidemic in the 1850’s , the townspeople of Ellensworth give up control of their town in return for a cure. The curse is broken but as a result, the town has a horrific man-eating Ogre who returns annually for his human sacrifice. 150 years later a group of teenagers stumble upon Ellensworth which has changed slightly, the inhabitants are immortal and nobody has aged. Unfortunately they have arrived at the time of the yearly human sacrifice with the Ogre rampaging through the town and its terrified people taking refuge. They soon realise that they have unwittingly become part of the hunt.

This is garbage. The cgi effects for the creature of the title will have you in hysterics it looks so awful and comical. On top of looking rubbish theres no weight to it, noticable when it's running accross the ground. It's even funnier when the various villagers act so scared you can't help but laugh. The ingame creatures from the original Resident Evil videogame, never mind the cgi, are 10 times better than this. It isn't scary in the slightest. The acting isn't a lost cause but the characters are so annoying you will probably root for the Ogre to eat them all asap. The villagers seem to have got a bad deal out of this as well..no one ages and they can't give birth and their numbers never increase yet every year 1 must be sacrificed. These idiots didn't think it through.

The script is rubbish, it's full of plot holes, theres no atmosphere, the cgi is a joke, the characters are unconvincing and annoying and it's all really boring.

not a good film 28 Jan 2012
Format:DVD
The only good thing about this film is the ogre. Isn't that enough? Well, no. For one thing, the ogre is revealed far too early in the film. It is a 'cool' monster, but trotting out the same monster at regular intervals does not make a good film. The storyline is weak and there is little build-up of tension.

This was bad 7 Dec 2011
Format:DVD
This was a pretty bad film, within its genre; i.e. bad B horror movies I might give it 2 stars. I actually watched it all my gf who was humouring me to start with fell alseep. It is fairly poor.
