This book was really helpful to learn out of and i personally thought it was a more of an incentive to use a book than computer. In every section goes through everything you need to know about driving and they like to repeat questions a lot in different ways which im guessing that they did it so you remember that question.
overall i would give it 5 out of 5 because i took my theory test a week after buying the book and got 49 out of 50 but would recommend getting the hazard perception to learn if you struggle with what are hazards etc

I bought this book as I prefer text book to DVD. Book has all the questions u could encounter. I started by working on chapters 10-14 first as the end of the book usually tests u more than the start. Then started from ch1 to 9. Also pay close attention to the highway code at the end of the book - got few questions from there. I did not learn every single question, learnt 80% and was totally confident in what I knew. For HP part use the DVD (available on amazon). If ur a PC FPS player like me then u will probably score crappy marks first time around, this is because we react to quickly. I had to react in my mind pause for a just under a second and then click to get the mark 90% of the time. I then worked into double tapping the mouse button. I would do a shorter pause for the HP event and double click...score improved even more. Sat the exam 18/09/2010 got 47/50 (took just over five mins...had to time myself as I know that if I am taking too long I have already failed;-) and HP was 73/75 (deep long breaths between clips...several times). For us gamers out there...this test has made my CSS performance go down hill...not even a monster kill(-_-'). One last thing...read the book in whole chapters, this allows ur mind to get into the actual mental flow of the area u are being tested in and makes ur 'common sense' mind answer some of the questions even though u really dont know the anwer until u looked at it:-). Sidenote...saw 8 people not take the paper and card of of provisional lic...u need both OK...cool...good luck and god bless Naruto(awesome sage) and Ichigo (hallow hero).

I bought this book a few weeks ago to prepare for my theory test, which I passed on Friday with 50/50 for my theory. I really think that if I hadn't bought this book, I wouldn't have achieved such a mark- it really is money well spent. The format is clear, concise and exceptionally easy to use. The book also includes the recently added 'case studies', advice under each answer to give you more confidence and the complete Highway Code. I also had a driving theory CD, but I really believe that this book enabled me to pass the exam.
If you are preparing for your test, I thoroughly recommend this book. You'll be glad you've had it after you pass with flying colours!

Well Worth A Read!
Well I passed my test 1st time so is well worth a read. Gives alot of good information at the back, i.e road traffic signs

Bought this for my son. He already had the DVD/rom for this. Think he thumbed through this book but the DVD/rom was a better buy for him. He did pass though!
