The official ps2 dvd remotes are a fantastic purchase and make everything a lot easier when watching dvds on your ps2 ,this dvd set comes without the infra red sensor which means it's limited to what ps2 models work with it (if you have a slimline ps2 then this dvd remote will work on it or basically if you have any ps2 with a small plastic square on it then these remotes will also work with that console).
The official ps2 remotes have all the buttons you need for watching your dvds ,iv had my remotes for years now and havn't had any problems with them so they are very reliable and there is no stupid button lights on these remotes which usually run away with the battery power every time you press a button ,the only thing i hated about this product was the packaging ,it's that kind of tough anti theft type of packaging that usually slices your fingers if you open it the wrong way. Overall if you havn't purchased a set of these remotes then do so now because you'll find it's a lot easier using these instead of the ps2 controller pad (the dvd remotes come with batteries and an instruction manual).

Great idea much better then using the controler all the time to watch a film.

Generally speaking, this is a nice little accessory to have for the ps2. The handset looks nice and feels quite comfy in the hand. The layout is reasonably good, although the little buttons on the top section take a bit of getting used to, as they are the same size, making it difficult to press the correct one without looking at it. The reset button is handy, although i've never seen the point in an eject button myself (surely you still need to get up to change discs?!!?!) the one main thing that annoyed me a bit with this is that i would of liked a few faster forward/back settings. You can search a bit faster than with the dual shock controller, but it's still a bit of a chore to find the bit you want. Not at all bad though.
