1.0 out of 5 stars Fairly Useless 13 Sep 2007
Format:Paperback
I bought this book, as i have passed my CBT over a year ago, and i am about to start lessons. I bought this book to cach up on informaytion that i may have forgotten, but have found it to be fairly useless. All this book tells you, is what topics and items your CBT will cover, and not actually the informaytion itself. For example, with breaking, it will just say "your instructer will explain breaking to your during your CBT", and it will not tell you how you should be breaking. The whole book is like this. They should of only used one page, and said "CBT: the examiner will explain to you, what you do when you get there", and left it at that. I say this book is fairly useless, becasue you could used it as a coaster, or to stop your table rocking.
I say buy this book if you want to find out what you will be learning on your CBT/test, but you will be told that during you CBT, and would therefore just be waisting your money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Biker Babe 17 April 2009
Format:Paperback
This was very useful in helping to pass the test first time, but anyone taking the test from 27 April 2009 will need the later version as the test format is changing radically.

4.0 out of 5 stars useful aid to your test process 14 Nov 2009
Format:Paperback
This official book does come accross as just that...very official.
It takes you through the steps of the process required to get your licence, and then some info on advanced training and basic safety advice.
It does not explain anything about HOW to RIDE it is about how to PASS. Each section is broken down into the required steps of the CBT and test days, explaining what will happen, what is required, and what will earn you a fault.
It is usefull for those who are really serious about passing and want to be prepared in advance, or those who are nervous about the process and want to know what to expect. It is also good referance during the process to remind yourself of key points that could get you a fail. Though your instructor will go through all of this with you anyway.
