This cable, when used with specially designed games, allows you to connect the Game Boy Advance to the GameCube. The features available will change depending on the game, from exchanging data or unlocking new game levels to allowing the Game Boy Advance to be used as a supplemental game screen or input device. Only games displaying the icon "Game Boy Advance Compatible" (on the back of the GameCube games) or "Nintendo GameCube Compatible" (on the back of the Game Boy Advance games) can be used with this cable.

This may be the mose expensive of the GC-GBA cables doing the rounds at the moment, but its by far the best. I too thought that I'd save a few pounds by buying a third-party made cable, but was frought with problems with them. My advice--Its only a few pounds more expensive, but well worth it---so buy it

I recently bought this link cable mainly so I could unlock the bonuses in Metroid Prime, such as the NES Metroid. I was very happy with it. I know also use it for Zelda. One reason why this will become such a handy device is for Pokemon, being able to connect your GBA game to the GC game will be essential. Only downside to the cable is the colour. It looks a bit stupid if you have a Black GC and GBA. But it's usefulness outweighs the colour problem.

I mainly bought this item for Animal Crossing for the access to the new island. And, I have to say it's very useful for letting me access those extra features, and I'll probably use it in the future with more games that I buy.

This is a good idea from Nintendo allowing linking of the GameCube to the GBA because it allows a lot more things to be done.

For those of you out there that don't know how this connects to your GBA. (I didn't until I bought it) It plugs into your connection port. Where you would normally plug in a link cable.

Good stuff from Nintendo, it's just a shame they didn't make a black version to match my GameCube.
