A bloody good laugh 4 Jun 2011
Format:Paperback
This book is the ultimate guide to snark and an honest to goodness good riot. The entries are hilarious--reading sarcasm on topics like Elton John, women, employment--everything that defines our culture from this book will put a smile on everyone's face.

Would not buy again 26 May 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Not pleased with this book. Bought it for my husband as a gift so that he could chuckle over even more sarcastic remarks he could make to 'friends' and some family, but found it be mostly American sarcasmm and not necessarily relevant to to UK culture (actually it was not even sarcasm). That opinion is purley based on flicking through it rather than reading it all. He will get the book as a gift anyway, and we will see if he can use, going to the Ball Park type comments as saracasm.

I didn't realize that an American could be so sharp, funny and yet be able to hit the target with such deadly
accuracy. Politically correct this book is not, but you are immediately comforted because this man has just said what you may have always thought but had not put into so many words. He has. Unflinchingly...

One of my favourites, which was almost worth the cover price alone, was this definition:

A nurse: 'An air stewardess with a syringe'.

Ouch! If that sort of thing appeals to you, buy this book, if not steer well clear!
