DVD Description

Meet Danny, a new university ‘fresher’ who just wants to cut his past loose and get on with his life… but he’s about to get an earth-shattering blast from the past in the form of Shane, his outrageous ‘slacker’ mate from school – the ‘worst best friend ever’. Blagging his way into last minute clearing, Shane proceeds to gatecrash Danny’s entire uni existence and ransack his best-laid plans.

Danny and Shane have been friends for as long as they can remember, but as they embark on their university adventures, can their friendship withstand the test?

Sharing the flat with the hapless heroes are the feisty Scarlet and the permanently morose Fred – who has misanthropy down to an art. Follow them muddling through bad dates, worse parties, social mishaps, financial disasters, political coups... and all the other trials and tribulations of life as a fresher.

Im usually a fan of BBC Three comedy series, sadly this one left me stone cold,at least after the first episode.

To begin with I had hopes for this series,I will admit the first episode did make me laugh a couple of times, and seemed to be a good base to build the rest of the series on,how wrong I was.Because what followed was the most dull and humourless drivel Ive seen in a long time, and I once watched Spice World for a bet.Every episode serves up the same joke over and over again, the stupid and insensative friend, who thinks hes wonderful, getting his only mate into trouble with his stupid ideas. There you have it,its the same thing time and time again, the joke worked in the first episode, but then it extremely quickly, became, first boring, and then irratating. The cast try their very best, but to no avail, its just one of the most unfunny comedys I have ever seen.

You know there's something wrong when James Buckley's depressive is the funniest thing in the whole programme. The leads just aren't interesting and the script only scrapes the funny barrel when it goes into farce.I so wanted it to suddenly burst into life as the episodes progressed but it never did.Not one I will be likely to watch again and probably destined for the next charity bag.

its pretty good 15 Sep 2010
it is funny and is worth the price you pay for it now!

No its not the best teenage sitcom but it is really funny and while it lacks realism , its got alot of good chuckles in there and some nice light humor throughout the series. It will keep you smiling and laughing, if you dont like it , your a tv buff or just rather boring.
