Product Description

Synopsis

In this book, Peter Kemp traces his life from his early years in urban Glasgow to his adventures in the Scottish mountains. 'Of Big Hills and Wee Men' sees Peter Kemp recount his tales of the mountains and of life growing up in Govan, tackling those two traditional images of Scotland - the shipyards and the glens.

An excellent read! 1 May 2009
An account of a group of lads from Glasgow that enjoyed the Highlands with a passion.
Be they doing the munroes or corbetts, good or bad weather the stories tell a tale of hard work with equal if not more satisfaction of conquering a particular hill or two.
As someone who has enjoyed the scottish hills for the last twenty five years I can heartily recommend 'Of Big Hills and Wee Men'.
