If you loved the cinemas of the fifties and sixties to date, then this is a book you will enjoy over and over. Alan Eyles really knows his stuff, but writes in a pleasant light manner which makes reading very easy. This book, the second part of the history of Odeon theatres, contains some of the best photographs of the era that I have seen - including a number in full colour. I constantly find myself getting this book from the shelf for a browse - and once you have it you will want Alan's books on the other cinemas - ABC, Granada, Gaumont (which can be tricky to get hold of) and the Book 1 giving the earlier history of Odeon. I would have welcomed more statistical information in tabular format, but that's about the only criticism I would make of this wonderful book.
