Well what a surprise having seen the totally awful 1st film I didn't really fancy this one but woah major improvement!!
The makers must have learnt from the original this ones not the best monster flick i've seen but at least its watchable and the octopus scenes are quite entertaining worth an hour or so but don,t take it too serious good fun!!

This is the best film I have EVER seen, the story is not only plausable but also horrific and sad (wait until the final explosion), Peter Jackson could have took a leaf out of this epic's book before making that 'Ring debacle'. This film reinforces my belief that although computer generated effects are now industry standard there is still a use for plasticine fibre glass rubber and even parafin. I would not only recommend this film to horror buffs but also lovers of marine life and lovers in general, in any disaster bonds form and this film is no exception, I challenge anyone to not cry as Mortens bond with the Giant sea beast is cruelly broken by greedy scientists and almost seems to beak the words, 'I love you' I cried for an hour tops.
I recommend that you buy 2 copies of this film TODAY, watch one yourself and keep one for your children. Amazon, I think you need to change your site to have an option for 6 stars.

This one was lot more entertaining then the 1st one. Also acting was lot better in this movie and we a lot more of the giant octopus also The CGI special effects are really good.
This is not gory is not even scary and it can be a little too cheesy at times also be boring at time. The Plot of the movie, Dead bodies are being found in the New York harbor. The police have no clues nor suspects until Nick and his colleague realize the killer is a giant octopus. Everybody, especially the police captain, refuses to believe Nick's story, and soon the harbor will be filled with boats for the 4th of July celebrations.
I would not recommend this unless your a really big fan of monster movies. i give this 4/5 for very good CGI special effects.
