A must for any OCS fan,

This dvd is nicely organised from a great band of the indie scene. Despite having troubles with numerous record companies and the media, Ocean Colour Scene still never fail to entertain. They are one of only a few British bands who can perform live and never hit a bad note, as can be seen from the dvd. This dvd also shows all their videos to date, which is a must for every OCS fan. Classics like 'The Day We Caught The Train' and 'Better Day' are shown where the lyrics are truly a masterpiece. The interview scene could have been better organised but nonetheless it is very informative of their personalities. The stirling castle gig was a great occasion and it was OCS at their best - performing live. This band has a loyal fan base which continues to be their success as they continue to pull in the crowds across the UK. Therefore, this dvd is a great compilation for any indie/OCS fan and hope they can produce another dvd like this in 5/8 years time.

Firstly to the person who said this dvd was rubbish and advises not to buy it, you need your senses checked sunshine! This dvd is brilliant! There is not much more you could ask for than all their videos and a set of amazing live perfomances. I will admit that the quality of the live shoes is not up to scratch with that of a modern live dvd but you cant expect too much as most of the recordings are from 1997/98 when the band where at their very best! I would rather that than have a show from more recent times, they're classic nineties and thats how they should be seen. Do Buy This! And look out for a new live dvd, if you want superior quality and all that.

A decent DVD, with all the necessary material,

The content of the album consists of the videos to their single releases (up to Crazy Lowdown Ways, but for some reason not including Traveller's Tune), footage from the gig at Stirling castle and one or two other live performances of individual songs (The Circle and So Low at the London Astoria and One of These Days from their debut album, being performed at the Edgbaston resevoir), plus a 40 minute interview with the band. With a few exceptions (Mechanical Wonder especially) the videos aren't all that great or imaginative, it's still the great sound of Ocean Colour Scene, but the videos aren't really worth watching time and again.Videos aren't really Ocean Colour Scene's strength, live performances certainly are, and if you can stand OCS's music, this dvd is a must just for the live performances. They are awesome. I don't know how they do it, but from the first note of Riverboat Song, the live performances just blow you away, especially 'The Day We Caught The Train', which must be one of the best tracks to play live ever. And they don't need to dress up as furry animals or smash up their instruments to do this, they are simply that good. Theinterview's pretty much what you'd expect, and is worth watching once, but there isn't really any point in watching it any more than that. It may seem silly to recommend this for the live performance alone and a few of the videos, especially when you can buy Live on the Riverboat, but Steve Cradock playing makes a big difference to their live sound, and watching some 30,000 people singing along to 'the day we caught the train' or jumping up and down to 'traveller's tune' with Stirling Castle in the background is worth every penny.
