When successful financial advisor Derek Charles (Idris Elba) settles into a new Los Angeles neighborhood with his loving wife Sharon (Beyonce Knowles) and young son Kyle, everything seems perfect. But when a beautiful temp, Lisa (Ali Larter), joins the firm, Derek's life takes a strange turn. After a misunderstood encounter at the company holiday party, Lisa begins to spiral out of control - putting Derek's career in jeopardy and Sharon's marriage and life on the line.

I enjoyed this, its a great film and Beyonce is really good and plays her character really well. Definitely worth a watch.

Yeah, this is pretty much Fatal Attraction remade with gorgeous people, plus some black actors!!
Beyonce was actually quite good - you can see she has been working on her acting skills since DreamGirls, and she portrayed her character very well. I enjoyed how she showed her inner Tigress - she didn't wimp out, she kicked butt!!
Ali Larter did well with what was kindof a scanty role for her - her character was definitely gone in the head, and it would have been easy for it to be one-dimensional but she managed to give it a bit of meat. She made you think that she really believed the things she was saying. And she was pretty darn evil - drugging a man to get him into bed? Sexy lingerie in his car?! I mean, if he was YOUR man I reckon the car thing would have been a hit but for a stranger?! Heck no!
Now to Idris Elba. Drool, sigh, drool. The man is fine fine fine, and he acts too. A couple of times I found myself saying to the screen "tell your darn wife you fool" but generally you could actually understand how it got so difficult- for him, it really was nothing until she went too far and by then it was going to cause the mother of all ruckus with his wife however he explained it!
The fight scene was excellent - absolute CLASS - and I really did enjoy this movie. No bad thing for it to be compared to Fatal Attraction. Good movie!

Obsessed begins with a happy couple entering their new home along with their baby son, they are happy and very much in love. As Derek Charles (a brilliant Idris Elba) enters work, he meets a beautiful temp Lisa Sheridan (a wicked Ali Larter) as she joins the firm. But as time goes by, Derek's life begins to go out of control as Lisa is obsessed with him and makes up stories about him leaving his wife Sharon (a very good Beyonce Knowles) to be with her. When a misunderstood encounter happens at a party, Lisa starts a shocking chain of events that will put the couple's life, marriage and his career on the line. Okay, it hasn't got a orginal story if you have seen Fatual Attraction but it has a twist: instead of it being the white man and a white wife we have a good-looking black couple which makes a very good twist in it. It keeps on going, dosen't let you go throughout the movie until the very end. The pefomances from them all are amazing, great talent and certainly ones to watch out for. It's got a good thumping soundtrack, the blu-ray shoots out a great picture and sound which is awesome to watch and feel. Worth checking out if you like this sort of film or just something for Saturday night entertainment.

Fatal Attraction gone wrong
