Bought this second hand through Amazon marketplace as it's currently out of print, but meant I got it at a decent price.
Have to say on first opening the book I was somewhat dissapointed as I was expecting colour photo plates rather than the coloured pencil drawings included. Also the fish mentioned in the book included many that I have not come across before when browsing various pet shops and aquarist outlets. This may appeal to someone who wants to own the less common varieties, but who may find it difficult tracking them down. The fish are sorted by alphabetical common names rather than by species though there is a full index at the back. About a page and a half is devoted to each fish which gives comprehensive information on keeping, feeding, temperature, mixing with other species etc. One thing it does give in detail that I haven't come across in similar books is a comprehensive breeding guide for each fish.
