1.0 out of 5 stars disappointing 20 Jan 2012
Format:Unknown Binding
I have known about and thought of buying these cards for many years. When I saw this set on Amazon I decided it was time to take the plunge. At £35.00 they are a serious purchase. When the set arrived they were nothing like those shown in the photograph - the ones I received are presented in a black card box, are black text printed onto white cards and that is about it - so absolutely NOTHING like the photograph of the beautifully designed set which are presented in the interesting white packaging. No design, no colour. It is hard to understand what you are paying for. If this is a later and more recent edition then please use a photograph of this edition, not one that is no longer available or won't be the set you receive. The idea behind these cards is great but their reality is really uninspiring. In truth very, very disappointing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outside the Box 9 Nov 2013

I bought Oblique Strategies as a gift for someone who is difficult to buy for. He loved the cards because they are thought provoking and some of them caused much amusement because they were so apt to situations at the time. Expensive, but worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worthwhile Stategies To Oblique Dilemmas 25 Nov 2011

I strove, at much cost, to buy these when they were rare. Now I use them to divine direction in so many situations and they are still worth every penny. In the words of Bowie himself, "Never been known to fail". Own these cards!

If you feel that your life is lived in boxes you cannot escape from, this box you can get into to find a way out.
Why climb the mountain if you can ride the river round it?

5.0 out of 5 stars Tales of the Oblique.... 7 Aug 2013

I'd always wanted to own a pack of "Oblique Strategies" cards - although they're hardly cheap for what they are, consulting one of them at a critical moment when you've hit a problem or a dilemna can be just what's needed.
