4.0 out of 5 stars Quite funny 7 Sep 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This is not like other Asterix books - not comic strip, but the story is funny and entertaining. An obvious one to own if you want to collect them all.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not the usual format 16 Feb 2014
By J. Hall
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I am a big asterix fan and am currently collecting the set. I ordered this as soon as I saw it - maybe I should have taken a closer look. It is not your usual asterix book - not comic book style. There are more words then pictures - all that reading! Don't get me wrong I don't regret buying it - just I was looking forward to a new story ( in usual asterix style).

5.0 out of 5 stars Happy shopper 8 Feb 2012

Always wondered what happened to Obelix. Tells how the hero gained his super strength. No need to keep drinking the potion he swam in it

3.0 out of 5 stars how obelix fell into the magic potion 15 Feb 2012
By bigcollector - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I have 34 asterisk books. 33 I like enough to have read twice; and will read again. This one, however, is more print the pictures, more words than art. Though good enough to read once, I could have done without it.

3.0 out of 5 stars fell short of usual genius 7 Nov 2010
By Laura Emmer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
What a disappointment!Don't know why I expected anything else but what they delivered. The book is the story of the band, no is one excluded. But I felt that it could have been a bit richer and the the drawing could have been a bit better. My opinion at the end was that they had said, "There, that ought to be enough, print it", and they were done with it.
5.0 out of 5 stars You can never tire of Asterix and Obelix. 19 Jan 2014
By Michelle Forster - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
You can never tire of Asterix and Obelix. They are a great source of entertainment, from when I was a child, and now my children enjoy reading them. I like the fact they challenge your child to become more articulate, and my children thoroughly enjoy the dry sense of humor laced throughout the pages.
