So many of the nylon spoons around today tend to either be floppy to start with or go floppy after a bit of heat and use. Not so this spoon. I have road tested it with soups, stews and a variety of other things, and found it to be a nice, sturdy spoon, slight flex, but not too much, and pretty much heat safe when used correctly. It is called Good Grip for a reason - it has one of the best grips I have seen for a long time, and has nevr ever been dropped by yours truly, who seems to specialise in tossing cookware on the lino when cooking. No damage to my pans, and easy to clean afterwards, this has to be the best spoon I have owned!
I reccomend checking out some of the other items in this range as I did, you will not be disappointed.

Strong material so good for stirring huge pots of thick chutney! Good shape (similar to a wooden spoon). This is a cooking rather than serving spoon as the bowl is not very large. Great that its made out of one piece of material and has a nice grip on the handle. Woudl definetly recommend.

I just love the OXO range of products, especially the thicker handles which make them easier to grip and use - much more comfy. This is a very good effective spoon, however my only reason for not giving it 4 stars rather than 5 stars is because it is made of nylon rather than silicone, which can withstand higher temperatures. My sons friend left my previous one resting on the edge of a pan and the end melted resulting in my having to buy another one. I opted for the same make as before because these are so much better than the ones that I used to buy, which had metal handles, and water used to collect in the handle when in the dishwasher and then drip out onto the kitchen side once they were placed in the utensil holder.

Nice to handle but do not leave on edge of pan or it melts - wish it had been in silicone to prevent this happening
