I have found that the mandoline is ok for some things but not ideal for all the things they claim it can do - making julienne strips is not easy and it does tend to clog up with heavier vegetables such as celeriac. When slicing it often jams towards the end of products e.g. green peppers - the vegetable gripper is adequate at best. I suspect this may be one of those things that spends more time in the cupboard than on the kitchen work bench

Sturdy, and very well made, but not as sharp as I require, which I must admit, I'm disappointed with, because one is left with too much of the vegetable (or not enough of ones' finger!), because the gripper wont grip smaller vegetables like carrots or parsnips.

Failed experiment

This has been a $70 experiment. Thought it would be an improvement over my old Benriner mandoline.Save your money. Not smooth or efficient. Nominal adjustment. Blade not sharp. I want to mail it back to OXO but it will probably just end up at Goodwill. I have always liked OXO but this just doesn't fly Wilbur.

Picture and item sent did not match

The item pictured was not the item I received. I ordered an Oxo mandoline and instead an Oxo chopper was shipped. I thought there might be something wrong as the price from Popeil was 1/3 of the price from the other sites.

Very Slow delivery and poor communication

The slicer is wonderful but I was not notified by the vendor that it would be very late getting to my son because they were out nd waiting on a shipment. It was a Christmas present so I needed to know. They didn't respond to my calls and email until much after Christmas.
