This book is the true story of the mighty power of God working on a man, Malcolm Worsley. Born to hard-working Lancashire parents, Malcolm served his apprenticeship in the buidling trade. But National Service, with a posting to the Malayan jungle resulted in his becoming addicted to alcohol as his only relief from the horrors of jungle warfare. Demobilisation in 1959 brought release from the awfulness of the Malayan situation but also left him without a structured way of life. For most of the time insatiable desire for alcohol controlled his life. This led to the breakdown of his marriage and the downward spiral of crime. Eventually, during Malcolm's seventh, and final, prison sentence God broke through into his life and in a wonderful process transformed him into a probation officer, an evangelist and a teacher of Christian Counselling. This remarkable account is a gripping read and includes a clear description of the gradual, though painful, healing process of deep traumatic memories with the resultant joy of reconciliation between various members of the family.
