First of all, and apologies to Amazon, once again, my watch wasn't purchased via Amazon but directly from another seller in the US.
I've already reviewed the Pepsi bezel CEM6500 variant and decided to go for the bigger 'Mako' simply because it didn't have the screw-down day-change button - simply a push-button. Plus I'd always fancied an orange dial - and this is ORANGE!
I've been wearing this for a week now and, whilst it IS a big watch, if you're used to diver style watches, you don't notice it on the wrist.
Plus points - it's obviously very well made, solid case/bracelet, clasp sits better on the bracelet than the Pepsi and the day button is tiny, unlike the Pepsi. The uni-directional bezel is positive, not easily moved accidentally and the screw down crown feels a little more substantial than the one on the Pepsi, even though they both share the same movement (as I understand).
Not-so-good points - very subjective and probably because the watch has a bigger case, the bracelet seems either a touch too loose or too tight, after having some links removed and the playing around with the small adjustment available on the clasp. Despite having the same movement (see above), the Orange Mako isn't as accurate, losing @ 10 seconds a day (still good!), compared to the Pepsi's 4.
There seems to be more 'play' where the bracelet is connected to the case - again, probably because they've used the same bracelet with a watch that's got bigger shoulders. the lume is ok if the watch is exposed fairly frequently to the light but as I wear my watch on the inside of the wrist, I have to place it near a light source to charge it - it's probably fine if you wear it normally. Finally, the Pepsi has the Orient logo on the crown, the 75001M doesn't. A very minor point but it'd be nice to have.
Overall, I'm happy with it, came with a nice Orient box, a big thick instruction booklet, all the seals and the Orient hologram on the case back. I'll be buying more Orient watches because, for the price, for what (so far, with two watches) appears to be excellent build quality, you can't go wrong. Just beware if buying from the States, HM Customs might just pounce! Factor in the extra VAT/handling charge of @ £30. And it delays delivery!!!!! :-(

I am very pleased with this watch, so far it keeps great time, had it for a couple of weeks and no need to adjust the time.
The orange face is bright but not garish at all. The main watch looks and feels very well made, and not overly heavy ( though i like a weighty watch). The only down side is the strap, imo, its not up there with the main watch itself, good but not great (for the price). Also as others have mentioned i would have like the Orient detial on the crown rather than left blank.
And thanks to seller (watch around the world UK) for promt delivery.

A lovely watch with a great movement ,keeps time, looks good ,but the bracelet is wanting,it's dire, really bad,the Invicta diver bracelet is a hundred times better.Buy this and order a good leather band on ebay or perhaps a NATO strap.

I bought this after a bit of research online regarding orient watches, its a large watch but dont be put off by people saying its massive its not, i wanted a large diver style and the mako 2 looked good, it has a very nice solid feel in the hand, the orange dial will catch the eye, it looks expensive and seems reliable, ok you can get a rolex or omega at 5 times the price, but as a nice extra watch , this definatly works......check out the others as well
The watch is a nice-looking automatic watch. The orange face is not garish or loud. I have the first Mako in deep blue which is smaller but a substantial watch nonetheless. This Mako II is a bit bigger and heavier but not by too much. Indeed, it looks very nice on the wrist and much better than in the pictures shown. The operation of the watch is very smooth. If it's stopped, then just shake it a little and it will start to tick, now set the date and time and off you go (allowing for the am-pm effect). When fully 'charged' it will hold enough for 40 hours. It is +25 to -15s a day accurate - depending on how it is used. That's fine. No need for excessively accurate time for most. It's usable for swimming etc. Only time will tell whether it is reliable. My only complaints are that the bracelet is a bit too chunky - they could have offset the case size with a slightly lesser bracelet - and that the lume is a bit weak. Still, it's a lovely watch.
