£15 for the Apple adapter or £3 for one of these? While I would always buy the Apple product, of which I have one, paying £15 each for three or four of these tiny adapters would be ludicrous! I've bought a couple of third party USB/lightning cables, the cheaper ones always break. (FYI: Belkin is my current preferred one.)
I needed several of these little adapters to go with portable battery chargers, which typically include and use USB to micro-USB cables, so this little adapter is the perfect companion. I was concerned that these would fail or fall apart quickly, but I am pleased to say they are a very good alternative to Apple's original product. They are nearly identical in appearance (these are about 1mm longer than the Apple original), but you can tell they're of a lower build quality. I can't determine how much of a battering they will resist, but pair one of these with a decent USB/micro-USB cable and you've got a good and flexible solution to connect your devices together. I bought four, and all of them are still working after approximately two months of use.
[One star knocked off because the product photo is the Apple original adapter, not the Ordel version for sale here. Ordel should use their own photo not a (likely copyright infringing) website image of Apple's product.)
