Despite being cheap it works well. Probably not robust enough to be used lots of times but at this price I don't think you can expect that. For occassional use I think it will be fine. Non of the items I received with my mincer are chromed so no problems with chrome coming off as one contributer complained. I've got what I paid for and am very satisfied.

bought this to make sausages from 2 pigs.

minces reasonably well - not fast, but ok.

When it comes to sausages tho, unless you have a spare two weeks, I couldn't recommend it. Painfully slow. Having to push down at least once for every 1cm of sausage. I've made sausages with friends previously using a manual sausage maker and it was much quicker. That's what i'll be looking to use next time.

Get what you pay for I guess.

Only any good for mincing

The 4 and 5 star reviews are misleading. This is at best a 3 star product.

1. The machine is probably about as noisy as a blender or hairdryer. Tolerable but, in my opinion, room for improvement.
2. The cutting parts are made of steel (not stainless) but the hopper, channel and grinder are all aluminuium alloy. This certainly makes them lighter but the grinder is already showing signs of wear and I've spotted bits of grey metal coming through with meat.
3. In my humble opinion, there is too much space between the grinder and the walls and also the rammer is too narrow for the hopper feeder. This means more waste as around 80 grams of food never makes it to the exit.
4. The sausage attachment is possibly built for hog cases. It is useless for collagen of any reasonable girth. When using 30mm collagen cases I had to oil the tube and push on about a foot of sausage cases at a time. You might be advised to purchase this SAUSAGE STUFFING stuffer KIT size 5 GENUINE PORKERT BRAND to be able to use collagen.
5. The instructions are intelligible in broken English but are generally quite poor. The only sausage making instruction is a diagram showing the recommended setup which won't be what most people use anyway.
6. The rammer is made of hollow molded plastic which will undoubtedly split along its seam one day.
7. Even the largest of the cutting discs reduced choice cuts of meat into a fine paste. *UPDATE: Problem lessened by removing all connective tissue from meat and chilling chunks in freezer before mincing.*

I haven't tried the keebe attachment.

Product arrived very quickly. The mincer is of good quality with all the mincing parts made of metal. Used a couple of time now and its not that noisy either, in line with mixers / blender etc and its very quick.

Simple to put together and clean with good range of grinding options. I've been looking to purchase a mincer for a while but have been a little reluctant to spend £80+ for something I'm only going to use infrequently.

At around the £40 mark you won't be disappointed

does everything it says on the box and is quick and does an even mince the only bad thing is when i washhed the mincing parts the crome started to come off on the first wash. now i have ended scrubbing off all the crome as it was getting into the things i wanted to mince.

*In its favour*:

This does an excellent job of mincing meat. I fed lamb and pork into it in one inch chunks and it did a wonderful job of turning into mince. It does exactly what I needed and I am very happy with the results.

Most parts are made of metal. The parts fitted together very well, came apart easily and will wear much longer than parts made of plastic.

Thre is a reverse button in the case of it jamming.

There are three different cutting plates (metal plates with holes in) for different mince processsing (fine, medium and large).

Kibbe and sausage making attachments are included

The whole thing was very well packaged.

*To its detriment*:

The first time I used it I put the cutting plate (the round filter with the holes through which the meat is pushed) that I had just used into the dishwasher on the night it was used. When I emptied the dishwasher the next morning I found that rust had formed in the holes, which is fairly appalling. The cutting plates therefore need to be hand washed and dried immediately after use which is a substantial irritation - it should not be rusting at all, never mind after one wash!

The detatchable head of the mincer, into which the mincing screw, cutting plate and blade are insterted, did not go well through my excellent dishwasher - there was still mince attached to the inside of the barrel. Again, this will need handwashing.

The instructions for use of the machine are typically feeble.

I got this item about 7 months or so ago, it does the job very good, the only thing is that noise level it creates is enormous. Although it is easy to clean, it is very powerful and last but not least it is fairly small to store.
