Initially when I bought this the batteries would not charge so I had to return it, this was a simple process and they were good about it but of course annoying as I had to wait for the new unit to arrive. The second unit charges the batteries however there are a number of issues, some of which are small niggles but still worth mentioning. The first problem is that battery charging seems to be very hit and miss, you put the battery on charge and the light goes red but if you move it slightly it turns green so sometimes you're never quite sure whether it's charging or not. This probably leads onto the next issue in that battery life is very hit and miss, sometimes you can get 5 hours, sometimes 1 hour, this is the biggest problem and leads me to think that one of the charging points is suspect. Moving onto to the charging points, they are very fiddly, the battery doesn't sit in very easily and can easily slide out. It's not the best design. Lastly a small thing, the bright lights other people have mentioned, it's handy that the battery can charge when the console is off but I don't understand why it doesn't switch off after charging, I don't like to leave it on overnight because I imagine it's just overcharging the battery, also there's no power switch so you have to plug and unplug the cable which is not ideal. Overall after using this for a few months I'm not happy with it and am looking to buy a different model, the price of this may be cheap but so is the product.
